Manipur Women’s Football Team Marches into 29th Senior Women’s NFC Final

The indomitable Manipur Women’s Football Team has once again proven why they are the most dominant side in Indian women’s football. With an unbeaten run and a series of commanding performances, the defending champions have secured their place in the final of the 29th Senior Women’s National Football Championship (NFC) 2024-25 for the coveted Rajmata Jijabai Trophy.

About the Senior Women’s NFC

The Senior Women’s National Football Championship, inaugurated in Manipur in 1992, is India’s premier women’s state-level competition. Organized annually, the tournament brings together teams from across the country, competing in a league-cum-knockout format for the prestigious Rajmata Jijabai Trophy.

Manipur’s legacy in the championship is unparalleled, having won an astounding 22 out of 28 editions so far. Their dominance in women’s football is reflected in their consistency and ability to perform under pressure. They are also the reigning champions, having defeated Haryana 2-0 in the 2023-24 final held in Kolkata.
