Seppa, Arunachal Pradesh – History was made in Seppa as Langku Kamku FC were crowned as futsal champions in the first-ever East Kameng Veteran & Sub-Veteran Futsal Premier League. The team delivered a stunning performance, overpowering FFCFC with a decisive 5-0 victory in the final on Sunday.

The inaugural tournament, organized under the banner of Real Star Football Club, saw 11 teams from the region battling for the top spot. However, it was Langku Kamku FC who proved to be a class apart, capping their brilliant run with a dominant display when it mattered most.

 

Dominant Final Seals the Title

 

The final match was a one-sided affair right from the start. Tapan Borah broke the deadlock with a calm and collected goal, giving Langku Kamku FC an early advantage. The momentum quickly swung in their favour as Tai Bai doubled the lead soon after, sending the team into halftime with a comfortable 2-0 cushion.

The second half was no different. Langku Kamku FC came out with the same intensity, and Tai Bai once again found the back of the net to complete his brace. Techi Tassar and Sanjay Thapa joined the party with a goal each, sealing the comprehensive 5-0 win and etching their names on the championship trophy.

 

Langku Kamku FC Stars Sweep Individual Awards

 

The team’s victory was a true collective effort, a fact reflected in the post-tournament awards. The stars of Langku Kamku FC futsal champions swept most of the individual honours, showcasing their talent across the board.

  • Top Scorer (Sub-Veteran): Techi Tassar (16 goals)
  • Best Player (Veteran): Tapan Borah
  • Best Player (Sub-Veteran): Tai Bai
  • Best Goalkeeper: Tana Tassar

In a great show of sportsmanship, Dosti Yari FC was recognised as the Best Disciplined Team of the tournament.

Following the incredible win, Langku Kamku FC’s manager, Er. Kacha Bagang, was full of praise for the team’s supporters. “We’re thrilled to lift the trophy in the very first edition,” he said. “This win is for our supporters. We’ll be back next season to defend the title.” With a statement of intent already made, the newly crowned champions are already looking forward to building a legacy.
