The Directorate of Sports, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, located in Chimpu, Itanagar, has officially invited application for the highly anticipated Cash Incentives Awards for 2025. These awards will be presented during the National Sports Day celebration in August 2025, a significant event aimed at recognizing and celebrating outstanding sporting achievements in the state.
The Cash Incentives Awards will honor athletes who have demonstrated exceptional performances in Regional, National, and International championships. Medal winners who have made their mark between 1st April 2023 and 31st March 2025 are invited to apply and stand a chance to receive these prestigious awards.
Eligibility Criteria for the Cash Incentives Awards
To ensure that only the most deserving athletes are recognized, the Arunachal Pradesh Government has set clear eligibility criteria for the awards:
- Timeframe of Excellence: Athletes must have achieved excellence between 1st April 2023 and 31st March 2025.
- Medal Category: Only those who have won medals in Regional, National, and International level championships will be eligible.
- Type of Event: Championships must be organized by recognized sports federations and listed as Official Calendar Events by these federations.
- Exclusivity Clause: Tournaments such as Open, Ranking, Style, Invitation, Friendship, and Memorial tournaments will not be eligible for consideration.
- Performance: Only an athlete’s highest achievement during the respective financial year will be taken into account.
- Selective Disciplines: The awards are limited to Olympic and Non-Olympic sports disciplines as specified in the Cash Incentives Rules of the State Sports Policy 2017.
Submission Guidelines
Athletes wishing to apply for the awards must ensure that they meet all the eligibility criteria. Applications must be submitted through concerned sports association in the designated format, which can be downloaded by clicking here. The deadline for submission is 5:00 PM on 4th April 2025, and athletes are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
