Breaking Down the Shillong Premier League New Format
The changes don’t end with the league phase. In a move to guarantee a blockbuster finish to the season, the SSA is also introducing the “Shillong Super Cup”. This knockout tournament will feature the top six teams from the SPL.
While the league champion and runner-up will qualify directly for the Super Cup semifinals, the teams finishing third to sixth will have to battle through playoffs.
