Papum Pare and Lower Siang booked their places in the boys’ football final of the 9th State Level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy 2026 after winning their semi-final matches at Aalo.
Papum Pare defeated Siang 2-1, while Lower Siang edged past Keyi Panyor 6-5 in a penalty shootout.
In the girls’ category, Namsai and East Kameng confirmed their final berths with narrow 1-0 wins over Papum Pare and Shi Yomi respectively.
The volleyball quarter-finals also wrapped up at Siyom Army Ground, with Capital Complex, Kurung Kumey, Keyi Panyor and East Kameng advancing in the girls’ category, and Lower Siang, Upper Subansiri, Kurung Kumey and East Kameng progressing in the boys’ section. The volleyball semi-finals were set to be played the following day from 1:30 PM.
