The volleyball semi-finals of the 9th State Level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy concluded at Siyom Army Ground, setting up the finalists in both the boys’ and girls’ categories.
In the boys’ category, Upper Subansiri eased past Lower Siang in straight sets, 25-15 and 25-17, to book their place in the final. In the second semi-final, Kurung Kumey edged out East Kameng in a closely fought contest, winning 27-25 and 25-23.
In the girls’ category, Capital Complex overcame Kurung Kumey in a tense three-set battle, 25-12, 24-26, 15-8, while Keyi Panyor sealed their final berth with a straight-sets win over East Kameng, 25-16 and 25-23.
With the semi-finals complete, the football and volleyball finals in both the boys’ and girls’ categories were set to be played the following day, promising an exciting conclusion to the tournament.
