The Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) and under the aegis of Op Sadbhavana, Spear Corps, officially announced the fixtures and draw of lots for the 9th Capt N Kengurüse, MVC Memorial Football Tournament 2025 at Chieswema, Kohima district on 30th September, 2025.
The announcement ceremony was graced by Mr. K. Neibu Sekhose, President of the NFA, along with the Head of Coaches and the Head of Referees. Media partners, members of the press, and team representatives from various districts participated, with many joining the proceedings through video conferencing.
The prestigious tournament, a tribute to the valour and supreme sacrifice of Capt N. Kengurüse, MVC, will take place at IG Stadium, Kohima, from 22 October to 06 November 2025. A total of 20 teams from across Nagaland will compete in 20 scheduled matches, with fixtures spread across morning sessions at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, interspersed with designated rest days.

This year’s edition carries an attractive prize pool of ₹6.5 lakhs, reaffirming the organizers’ commitment to encourage young sporting talent in the state.
