Competing against the continent’s best, Yajik showcased incredible form and dedication in the Women’s Model Physique (Up to 160 cm) category. Her victory wasn’t just a personal milestone but a massive moment for Indian physique sports, proving that our athletes are a force to be reckoned with on the international stage.

A Golden Performance on the Asian Stage

The championship in Bangkok saw fierce competition, but Yajik’s hard work and determination shone through, earning her the top spot on the podium. Her achievement immediately caught the attention of leaders back home.

Hillang Yajik’s Asian Gold Inspires a Generation

This latest victory adds to an already stellar year for Yajik. Earlier in 2025, she made history at the 15th South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships in Bhutan, becoming the first woman from Arunachal to win an international gold medal in the sport. The Hillang Yajik Asian gold win now solidifies her status as a top contender.

Beyond the stage, Yajik is a true multi-talented individual. Holding a master’s degree in political science, she balances her athletic career with her work as a fitness trainer and dance instructor. Starting her journey at the Federation Cup in 2022, she has rapidly risen through the ranks.

Yajik’s incredible success is breaking barriers in a sport often seen as male-dominated. She stands as a powerful inspiration for countless young girls across the North East, showing them that with passion and perseverance, any dream is achievable.
