The Meghalaya State League 2023 (MSL 2023) is heating up as the semifinal draw took place on Monday. Debutants Mawlai will face Khliehmawlieh Youth Club, while Rangdajied United will clash with defending champions Shillong Lajong.
The semifinals will be played on a home-and-away basis, with the first leg on June 10 and the second leg on June 13. The grand finale will take place on June 17 at the First Ground, Polo, in Shillong.
Mawlai has been impressive in their first season, winning all five matches in Group A. They will face Khliehmawlieh, the only non-Shillong club in the semifinals, hoping to cause an upset.
Rangdajied, who topped Group B, will seek revenge against Lajong, the 2019 runners-up, in a double-headed replay of the MSL 2019 final.
Excitement is building as the top four teams out of 25 aim to secure a spot in the finals. The semifinals will be streamed live on the Meghalaya State League’s official YouTube channel.
