In a remarkable display of talent and resilience, 18-year-old Solimla Jajo, hailing from Kasom Khullen village in the Ukhrul district of Manipur, has secured the 5th position in the “Women’s One-piece Swimsuit up to 165 cm” category at the 14th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2023 in Wonju city, South Korea. Despite facing challenges in her life, Miss Jajo has consistently proven herself on the international stage.
Her journey to success began in 2019 when, amidst preparations for her Class X selection exam, she clinched the Miss Manipur Model Physique title in the open category. Since then, she has continued to achieve milestones in the world of bodybuilding.
Trained under the guidance of renowned bodybuilder and International medalist Robert Leishangthem, who also serves as the principal of Ukhrul Central School (UCS) and owns the Royal Gymnasium in Ukhrul headquarters, Solimla Jajo has become a force to be reckoned with in the field.
Her list of achievements includes a silver medal in the 13th World Bodybuilding and Physique Championship 2022 in Thailand, a 5th position in the Women’s Model Physique category at the Eastern India Bodybuilding Championship, and a silver medal in the Junior Asia Model Physique 2022 in the Maldives, among others.
Notably, Jajo is a two-time Overall Champion of Miss Manipur Model Physique in the open category and has secured the 5th position at the All India Federation Cup for Senior Women Model Physique categories in Uttar Pradesh.
Beyond her sporting achievements, Solimla Jajo serves as the brand ambassador for World Nutrition and Ukhrul FC (Football Club), showcasing her versatility and influence beyond the realm of bodybuilding. She was also a former brand ambassador for Animal Booster Nutrition (food supplement).
