The ongoing 7th Edition of the Late Capt N Kenguruse, MVC, Memorial Football Tournament witnessed some intense action in the semifinals today at the IG Stadium in Kohima. With two exciting matches on the schedule, the football enthusiasts in attendance were treated to a display of skill, teamwork, and determination.

The opening match of the day witnessed Liangmai FC facing off against the Western Sumi Sports Association in an intense battle. The game commenced at 1:00 pm, and both teams displayed immense potential. Nevertheless, it was Western Sumi S.A that secured a resounding victory, with a final score of 6-2
The goal scorers for Liangmai FC were Yhunshalo (50′) and Weliso (71′). On the other hand, Western Sumi S.A’s Ngulgoulal (18′), Haileuyibe (29′, 48′, 90+4′), and Mughahuto (61′, 64′) made significant contributions to secure the win for their team.
The second match of the day featured Tehok FC against St. Xavier’s College, Jalukie, and it proved to be a one-sided affair. Tehok FC demonstrated their dominance with a resounding 6-1 victory. Mengu (15′), S Salym (31′, 36′), Lohe (47′), Monton (56′, 61′) were the goal scorers for Tehok FC, while Kidinlung (38′) managed to score the lone goal for St. Xavier’s College.
