Shri Tana Sanjeev, the Vice-Chairman of the Sports Authority of Arunachal, honoured the exceptional achievements of medal winners and qualifiers at the prestigious 32nd Senior National Wushu Championship 2023. The championship took place at the renowned Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune, Maharashtra, from June 26th to July 1st, 2023.
Among the outstanding performers, Miss Yorna Rosni showcased her remarkable skills and secured a Gold Medal in Nandao (Taolu) category. Furthermore, Miss Mercy Ngaimong triumphed with an extraordinary feat by clinching three Gold Medals in Changquan, Jianshu, and Qiangshu (Taolu) categories.
The event also offered an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of several officials who played an instrumental role in shaping the success of the athletes. Shri Kishen Chetia, serving as the Coach (Taolu), demonstrated exceptional leadership and guidance. Additionally, Shri Tana Daniel earned recognition for his significant role as the Coach (Sanda). Shri Sonam Liyak, the Team Manager, skillfully managed the athletes’ welfare, while Shri Tai Kaya contributed as a Technical Official.

Qualifiers for 37th National Games 2023: The felicitation ceremony extended its support and best wishes to the Wushu players who secured qualification for the upcoming 37th National Games 2023 in Goa. These talented individuals showcased immense dedication and skill, paving the way for a promising future in Wushu.
Miss Realu Boo demonstrated her proficiency in the Taijiquan event and earned a well-deserved qualification. Another outstanding performer, Miss Taug Ama, successfully qualified for the Sanda event, competing below 60kg. Similarly, Shri Repakso Chikro showcased exceptional talent and qualified for the Sanda event in the below 60kg category.
The felicitation ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished officers and officials who are actively involved in promoting and nurturing Wushu in Arunachal Pradesh. Among the notable attendees were Shri Gumnya Karbak, the Director of SAA, who has been instrumental in fostering sporting talent in the region. Shri Tach Tadar, the President of the All Arunachal Pradesh Wushu Association, and Shri Ajay Dolo, the Vice-President of the same association, also attended the event, showcasing their unwavering support for the sport.
