In a proud and inspiring moment for Arunachal Pradesh, the state’s contingent of para-athletes and officials has been officially flagged off to participate in the prestigious International Para Athletics Championship 2025, to be held in Bengaluru from July 10 to 12. The flag-off ceremony was graced by Shri John Neelam, Chairman of the Sports Authority of Arunachal, whose support has been instrumental in enabling the team’s participation.
Representing Arunachal Pradesh:
The state will be represented by two outstanding para-athletes:
Miss Kipa Mero – Competing in Javelin Throw (F13 Category)
🥇 Gold Medalist at the 2nd Khelo India Para Games 2025
🥈 Silver Medalist at the Senior National Para Athletics Championship 2025Mr. Tingong – Participating in 200m & 400m Sprint (T35 Category)
Both athletes have demonstrated immense dedication and resilience, and are now set to showcase their talents on the international stage.
