Hockey Madhya Pradesh and Hockey Mizoram emerged victorious in their respective encounters, showcasing their skill and determination.
In the first match of the day, Hockey Madhya Pradesh dominated the field, overpowering Hockey Karnataka with a resounding 7-1 victory. Captain Yogita Verma (9′) led the charge by scoring the opening goal, followed by an impressive display from Bhumiksha Singh (27′, 59′), Jyoti Singh (45′), Soniya Kumre (46′), Gurmail Kaur (48′), and Sonam (56′). Hockey Karnataka managed to salvage a consolation goal through Yamuna (10′), but it was not enough to overcome the dominant performance by Hockey Madhya Pradesh.
The second match featured an outstanding performance by Hockey Mizoram, as they outplayed Hockey Chandigarh with a convincing 6-0 win. Lal Tlanchhungi (9′, 51′), Lalrinpuii (44′, 60′), and Vanlalhriatpuii (54′, 59′) exhibited their exceptional skills by scoring two goals each, securing a well-deserved victory for Hockey Mizoram and earning three crucial points.
On the preceding day, Hockey Haryana demonstrated their dominance by trouncing Telangana Hockey with an overwhelming 24-0 scoreline. The goal-fest showcased the prowess of Hockey Haryana, with multiple players finding the back of the net. Bhteri (1′, 47′, 55′), Sakshi Rana (5′, 18′, 21′, 35′, 40′, 58′), Kanika Siwach (10′, 10′, 35′), Ishika (14′, 39′), Pinki (16′, 54′), Manisha (21′, 29′, 51′), Sejal (40′, 44′), Sukhpreet Kaur (47′, 48′), and Kajal Malik (52′) all contributed to the remarkable victory.
In another captivating match on Saturday, Hockey Rajasthan battled it out against Assam Hockey, resulting in a thrilling 4-4 draw. Assam Hockey took an early lead with goals from Milka Surin (6′, 17′, 25′) and Ritu Bawri (46′). However, Hockey Rajasthan showed their resilience and fought back with goals from Chetna Rani Das (24′, 34′, 55′) and Sneha Kumawat (49′), securing a hard-fought draw.
The final match of the day witnessed a fiercely contested encounter between the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu and Manipur Hockey, which concluded in a 3-3 draw. Romita Waribam Chanu (13′) and Khaidem Shileima Chanu (53′, 59′) found the net for Manipur Hockey, while Sathya S (21′), Kesavarthini D (34′), and Vairavi M (46′) ensured that the spoils were shared between the two teams.
