Yoga and Drawing Competitions in Celebration of 9th International Day of Yoga

Directorate of Youth Affairs and Directorate of Sports, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh Successfully Host Yoga and Drawing Competitions in Celebration of 9th International Day of Yoga

In commemoration of the 9th International Day of Yoga, the Directorate of Youth Affairs and the Directorate of Sports, in collaboration with NYKS and NSSS, organized a highly successful Yoga Competition and Drawing Competition at the esteemed Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA) on June 20, 2023. The event, centered around the inspiring theme of “Humanity,” witnessed the enthusiastic participation of talented individuals who showcased their skills and creativity with great passion.

The Yoga Competition brought together aspiring yogis from diverse age groups, who astounded the audience with their exceptional flexibility, balance, and inner peace. Simultaneously, the Drawing Competition provided a platform for budding artists to express their boundless imagination and talent on canvas, resulting in awe-inspiring artworks.

The most anticipated aspect of the event is the forthcoming award ceremony, scheduled to take place at the Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy. Distinguished Sports & Youth Affairs Minister, Shri Mama Natung, will grace the occasion as the esteemed Chief Guest, honoring the deserving winners with well-deserved cash prizes.

The winners of the Drawing/Painting Competition 2023-24 will receive the following cash prizes:

Category – 1 (Class I-III): 1st Prize: Rs. 5,000/- 2nd Prize: Rs. 3,000/- 3rd Prize: Rs. 2,000/- Consolation Prize: Rs. 1,000/- each (2 Nos.)

Category II (Class IV-VI): 1st Prize: Rs. 5,000/- 2nd Prize: Rs. 3,000/- 3rd Prize: Rs. 2,000/- Consolation Prize: Rs. 1,000/- each (2 Nos.)

Category III (Class VII-VIII): 1st Prize: Rs. 5,000/- 2nd Prize: Rs. 3,000/- 3rd Prize: Rs. 2,000/- Consolation Prize: Rs. 1,000/- each (2 Nos.)

In the Yoga Posture Competition (Under 16), the following cash prizes will be awarded:

1st Prize: Rs. 15,000/- 2nd Prize: Rs. 10,000/- 3rd Prize: Rs. 7,000/- Consolation Prize: Rs. 3,000/- each (2 Nos.)

These cash prizes serve as a token of recognition for the outstanding performances and talents displayed by the participants in their respective competitions.
