Arunachal’s First Para Technical Officials to Officiate at World Championships

In a historic achievement for Arunachal Pradesh, four para technical officials from the state have been officially qualified to officiate at the upcoming 2025 World Para Athletics Championships. The qualification comes after their successful participation in the World Para Athletics Technical Official Seminar cum Examination, organized by the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, from May 2 to May 4, 2025.

The selected officials are:

  1. Mr. Techi Sonu

  2. Mr. Lemkhul Mossang

  3. Mr. Bagang Tania Natam

  4. Miss Tana Yahe

This accomplishment marks the first time that para technical officials from Arunachal Pradesh have attained international qualification, representing a proud and historic milestone for the state. Their success not only highlights the growing talent in the region but also enhances the state’s presence in the national and international para sports landscape.

The 2025 World Para Athletics Championships, scheduled to be held in New Delhi from 26 September to  5 October, 2025 will now feature these four officials contributing to the event’s execution with professionalism and precision. Their involvement is expected to support the delivery of a world-class sporting event while inspiring future generations of para sports professionals from the Northeast.

Their achievement is being celebrated across the state as a symbol of dedication, capability, and progress in the field of para athletics.
