The much-awaited Namchi District Super League has officially kicked off, bringing football fever back to Sikkim. The 2025 edition began today at the iconic Bhaichung Stadium, drawing a massive crowd of enthusiastic supporters ready for an action-packed season.
Organized by the Namchi District Football Association (NDFA), the tournament aims to shine a spotlight on grassroots football and create a competitive stage for the region’s rising stars.
A Grand Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony was a celebration of local sport, graced by Namchi Singhithang MLA Mr. Satish Chandra Rai, who officially declared the league open. His presence, along with that of NDFA President Mr. Basant Yonzon and other senior members, added a real sense of purpose to the event.

Red Pandas Clinch Victory in Tense Opener
The tournament began with a nail-biting encounter between Red Panda FC and Siniolchu FC. From the first whistle, both teams fought hard, showcasing incredible skill and determination that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.
