Dimapur SC struck first through Rhitsho in the 13th minute, finishing off a rapid counter-attack that sliced open the Police defence. Despite conceding early, Nagaland Police FC controlled much of the first half with 51.76% possession, calmly building play and waiting for gaps to appear.
Their persistence bore fruit when Limakumzuk pounced on a rebound in the 70th minute to level the scoreline. With momentum swinging in their favour, Nagaland Police pressed for a winner but met a resolute Dimapur defence that refused to yield.
