In a bid to promote cycling and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship, the Arunachal Cycling Association (ACA) is gearing up to host the MTB Tawang Challenge 2023, a National level Cycling Competition, scheduled for November 18th and 19th, 2023. Organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and the Cycling Federation of India (CFI), this 6th Edition promises to be a breathtaking event set against the stunning backdrop of Tawang.
Exciting Two-Day Competition Format
The MTB Tawang Challenge 2023 will kick off with a grand flag-off ceremony on November 18th, led by Shri Tsering Tashi, MLA of 2-Tawang Constituency, who will serve as the Chief Guest. The event features a two-stage competition:
Day 1 (Stage – 1) – Tawang Yak Grazing Trek followed by presentation.
Day 2 (Stage – 2) – Tawang Yak Grazing Trek followed by presentation.
The competition will attract renowned riders from across India, along with technical officials from the Cycling Federation of India and Department Officers/Officials who will showcase their cycling prowess amidst the picturesque landscapes of Tawang.
Distinguished Guests to Grace the Event
The flag-off ceremony will be an affair to remember with the esteemed Chief Guest, Tsering Tashi, setting the event into motion. The occasion will be further elevated by the presence of notable personalities, including Shri Mutchu Mithi, Hon’ble MLA Roing cum President of the Arunachal Cycling Association, who will be actively participating. Shri Onkar Singh, Secretary-General of the Asian Cycling Confederation, will be the Guest of Honor, and Mr. Maninder Pal Singh, Secretary-General of the Cycling Federation of India, will join as a Special Guest.
