The 49th Tripura State Senior Open Fide Rating Chess Selection Tournament is all set to be organized by the All Tripura Chess Association (ATCA) from 24th June 2023 to 26th June 2023. Furthermore, this tournament will be held at the NSRCC Chess Hall, N S Road, Agartala, West Tripura, under the aegis of the All India Chess Federation (AICF).
The tournament aims to welcome players from the Tripura state, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their skills. In addition, the top four players will be selected to represent Tripura at the National Senior Chess Tournament-2023, which is scheduled to take place in Maharashtra from 15th to 27th August 2023. This tournament will be conducted following FIDE’s Laws of Chess and the Swiss system, ensuring fairness for all participants. During the course of the tournament, a total of nine rounds will be played. Each player will have 60 minutes of playtime with an increment of 30 seconds per move from move number one.
To participate in the tournament, players are required to submit an entry fee of Rs. 650 at the ATCA office on Bidhurkartta Road, Banerjee Para, between 6 pm and 8.30 pm. After making the payment, participants must diligently complete the Google Form using the provided link: https://bit.ly/42bjghZ.
It is important to note that the entry fee structure will remain valid until 22nd June 2023. After this date, a late fee of Rs. 250 per player will be imposed, and entries received after 22nd June 2023 (up to 17:00 hrs.) will not be accepted.

To maintain the integrity of the tournament, participants are strictly prohibited from bringing electronic devices, including wristwatches, into the tournament hall. Non-compliance with this rule will result in an automatic loss. Additionally, players must seek the consent of the arbiter before agreeing to a draw before each player completes 20 moves.
District players will be provided with free dormitory accommodation for four nights from 23rd June 2023 to 26th June 2023. Please note that no TA, DA, or cash prizes will be awarded. However, all participants will receive well-deserved e-certificates as a token of appreciation.
