Meghalaya Celebrates Myngken School’s Global Triumph

The Meghalaya government officially felicitated the Myngken Christian Higher Secondary School football team for securing third place at the 2nd Indo-French Football Tournament held in Paris. The state had invested Rs 50 lakhs to support the team’s participation in the tournament.

During the event, the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma also announced that the Meghalaya U-18 State Football Team has been invited to a 20-day training camp at the Olympique Lyonnais Academy in France this June. He emphasised that the government’s commitment to youth sports is part of a broader strategy to provide international exposure and build future opportunities for young athletes.
