Arunachal Pradesh Gears Up for the Premier Football Extravaganza – Registration Open Until December 2nd!

The excitement is building up as the Arunachal Football Association (AFA), in collaboration with the Eagle Welfare Association (EWA), gears up to host the 8th edition of the prestigious Eagle Trophy Football Championship. Kipa Ajay, Secretary General of the Arunachal Olympic Association, announced that the highly anticipated tournament is scheduled to take place from December 10th to 23rd, 2023, at R.G Stadium, Naharlagun.

The Eagle Trophy Football Championship is renowned as one of the most prestigious and popular football events in the state. Teams from various districts and clubs will converge to compete fiercely for the coveted trophy and substantial cash prizes. The championship, featuring the Sr. Men’s Category, will adhere to a knockout format, with each match lasting 90 minutes.

Teams eager to be part of this thrilling football extravaganza are urged to register at the earliest opportunity. Registration forms will be made available starting November 20th, 2023, at the AFA Office, Golden Jubilee Outdoor Stadium, Yupia, during regular office hours. The deadline for team registration is set for December 2nd, 2023.

The Eagle Welfare Association (EWA), a pioneering sports society established in 1981, holds the distinction of being the oldest sports organisers in Arunachal Pradesh.
